Mr. Darryl L. Johnson

Licensed Funeral Director / Embalmer | General Manager of Operations | F.D.I.C

Mr. Darryl L. Johnson was born to Willie M. McGriff in Quincy, Florida. He was raised in Delray Beach by his grandparents, the late Harry and Brownie McGriff, and was reared in St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church in Delray Beach, Florida. Mr. Johnson was educated in the Palm Beach County School System and graduated from Atlantic Community High School, Class of 1989. He later continued his education at Keiser Career College receiving a degree in Business Administration. Mr. Johnson enrolled at Lynn University in Boca Raton to pursue a A.S. degree in Mortuary Science. He successfully completed his courses and earned his degree in 2003 to become a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the State of Florida. He served as a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer under the tutelage of the late Mr. James Lamar Shuler. It was there where Mr. Johnson gained most of his knowledge and hands on experience to care for those who have made the spiritual transition.

Darryl has many accomplishments, his most honored accomplishment occurred in May of 2010. Johnson's Memorial Chapel, Inc. opened its doors under the direction of Mr. Darryl Johnson who is the General Manger of Operations and FDIC.

Mr. Johnson is a member of the Florida council on Crime and Delinquency (FCCD), Funeral Director and Morticians Association, Florida Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Association. He is former member of the 1st Regional District of the Florida Morticians Association, and Epsilon Nu Delta Mortuary Fraternity. He is also a current member IFDF and enrolled in The Academy of Funeral Service Professionals.

He is a currently a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Boynton Beach, Florida.

Mr. Johnson was honored to receive the Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the New Business of the Year Award in 2012. Mr. Johnson has severed countless families over the Tri-County area and his belief is that 'Everybody is somebody, not only in his eyes but also in the eyes of the Lord'.
